ST. PAUL, Minn. — Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) presented the prestigious Genesis Award to Gen Olson, former Minnesota State Senator, on January 17, 2024. The presentation marked a momentous occasion as Gen Olson became the first recipient of this esteemed award.
The Genesis Award, a symbol of recognition from CCHF, is reserved for individuals who have played an integral role in the organization since its inception. Gen Olson’s unwavering commitment to the principles of free market health care has earned her this distinguished honor.
“CCHF was pleased to present former State Senator Gen Olson with our first-ever Genesis Award. Gen was the first person I met with as I planned to launch an organization to support free market health care and oppose socialized medicine. Gen and I first met in 1994, and she was instrumental in helping me make connections inside and outside the Minnesota State Legislature,” said Twila Brase, RN, PHN, CCHF Co-founder and President, who presented the award to Gen Olson.
“In appreciation for her wisdom and insights – then, and in the years since – it was my honor to recognize her for her contributions to health freedom,” added Brase.
The award ceremony, held in Spring Park, Minnesota, underscored Gen Olson’s dedication to health freedom in the state.
