ST. PAUL, Minn. — Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) Co-founder and President Twila Brase, RN, PHN provides the following statement on the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:
“By choosing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services, President-Elect Trump has signaled a 180-degree regime change in the Washington-D.C. public health establishment. Given how the Biden administration and its many public health officials gaslit freedom-loving, science-aware Americans nationwide during the Covid crisis, we are pleased to see Donald Trump’s bold decision in the face of withering criticism at every turn.
“We expect to see more truth, fewer bureaucrats, and hopefully, in combination with the new Department of Government Efficiency, less wasteful use of taxpayer dollars for political pet projects that violate the patient, parent, and privacy rights of citizens.
“In 2019, we were selected to participate in President Trump’s HHS Quality Summit, and we secured language in the 2019 Medicare Executive Order to let Americans opt out of Medicare and keep their Social Security benefits. We hope for more such collaboration in 2025 and beyond to secure a future of health freedom for all.
“Little has been said thus far about establishing free-market solutions to solve the pending insolvency of Medicare, eliminating the scourge of the corrupt Medicare Advantage program, restoring citizens access to affordable major medical indemnity polices, and resurrecting physician and practitioner autonomy in medical decisions made in the best interest of patients. If confirmed, we look forward to also working on these issues with Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Trump administration to “Make Health Care Great Again.”
