CCHF Open Letter to President-Elect Donald Trump Requests Meeting to Make “Health Care Great Again”

ST. PAUL, Minn. — As President-Elect Donald Trump prepares to assume office again, Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF), has issued an open letter to President-Elect Donald Trump, congratulating him on his re-election and requesting a 15-minute meeting to share seven steps he could take to restore patient and doctor freedom in America.

In this proactive letter, Twila Brase, RN, PHN, Co-founder and President of CCHF, points out how Americans are being misled by commonly discussed ideas that mask harmful policies, such as “health care quality,” “standards of care,” and “privacy.” Brase calls these ideas out as contributing to rising costs, bureaucratic mandates, and a loss of control over personal health decisions. She urges President-Elect Trump to act within his first 30 days to curb corporate and governmental overreach in medicine.

“If implemented, our seven suggestions will make health care great again in America. This short list of suggestions addresses the root cause of the ongoing crisis in American health care,” Brase says. “As I say in my open letter, if these actions are taken, patients will regain autonomy, doctors will find joy in practicing medicine again, and affordable, compassionate care will be restored.”

Among the recommendations is the reissue of the October 2019 Medicare Executive Order, which includes a provision giving senior citizens the right to opt out of Medicare without losing their Social Security benefits, an executive order which CCHF worked with the Trump administration to secure.

Twila Brase has requested a 15-minute meeting with the President-Elect to discuss these seven key actions that could shift the health care landscape dramatically toward freedom, affordability, and confidentiality in the exam room. She emphasizes that swift action taken now will realign American health care with Constitutional principles, transforming it into a system that is simple, affordable, and focused on patient care.

Brase’s open letter represents a powerful statement from one of the nation’s leading voices in health freedom. To learn more and obtain a copy of the full open letter, go to CCHFreedom.org.
